IGLU Senior Management Seminar, “Innovation Ecosystem Management in Higher Education Institutions”
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic 07/14/2017.- On July 13th and 14th The Inter-American Organization for Higher Education (IOHE) though its Institute of University Management and Leadership (IGLU), in collaboration with the Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) held the IGLU Senior Management Seminar, “Innovation Ecosystem Management in Higher Education Institutions”. The seminar, which took place in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, brought together 21 participants including vice-Presidents, executive directors, coordinators, managers, teachers, technicians, assessors and counsellors.
Attending the seminar were representatives from for Latin American countries: Colombia, Costa Rica, Peru, and the Dominican Republic as well as nine higher education institutions: IGLOBAL, INTEC, ITLA, Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, UNAPEC, UNIBE, Universidad de Costa Rica, Universidad del Caribe, and Universidad Dominicana O & M.
Also present were several authorities from the host institution, Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE): the Academic Coordinator of the School of Architecture, the International Students Coordinator, the Graduate studies Departmental Coordinator of Dentistry, the Coordinator of Continuing Medical Education, the Coordinator of the School of Psychology, the Director of the Research Centre and Biomaterials, a counsellor and an advisor.
The Seminar was led by the following facilitators: Odile Camilo, Academic Vice-President/UNIBE, Glora Valdés, director of Academic Management/UNIBE, Teresa Guzman, Teacher Development Coordinator/UNIBE, Rosa María Cruz, E-Learning Coordiantor/UNIBE, Aida Mencía, Dean of Research/UNIVE, Vhyna Ortega, Director of Quality Assurance/UNIBE, Rafael Vargas, Director of Planning and Institutional Development/UNIBE, Laura Sartori, Dean of Graduate Studies and Continuing Education/UNIBE, Hilda Abreu, Graduate Studies and Education Coordinator/UNIBE, Juan Pablo García, Director of the SUGAR Network Innovation Program/ Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Cali, Colombia), Clara Inés García Blanco, Coordinator of the Centre for Teaching, Learning, and Professional Studies/ Universidad del Rosario (Bogota, Colomia), and Dr. Miguel Escala, IGLU’s Executive Director.
