The INTERCAMPUS mobility space

INTERCAMPUS aims to contribute to the quality improvement of university studies and the comparativeness and competitiveness of students, professors, researchers and administrative personnel at HEI. In addition, it includes the harmonization of study programs in participating countries.   In this way, INTERCAMPUS helps promote diversity, strengthens cultural exchange, develops knowledge and encourages the sharing of experiences. The INTERCAMPUS space also focuses on facilitating international mobility (both virtual and physical) among higher education institutions (HEI), namely those which are partners of the IOHE. Moreover, this mobility initiative involves ample training opportunities for students, professors, administrative personnel etc. In short, it aims to strengthen common spaces among institutions, countries and regions, thereby providing an Inter-American and Intercontinental dimension to mobility. As a result, the importance of the creating the “Inter-American Area of Higher Education (EIES)” is highlighted.

INTERCAMPUS will be carried out via the execution of the following actions:

INTERCAMPUS for Students: Student mobility at an undergraduate level.  University students will obtain recognition of their studies and will also receive accreditation for their degrees.

INTERCAMPUS Higher Education Languages: This is a mobility project for bilingual or polyglot training. It is based on the official languages of the organization: Spanish, English, Portuguese and French.

INTERCAMPUS Higher Education Leaders: This mobility initiative seeks to consolidate common higher education areas among institutions, countries and regions using an Inter-American and Intercontinental dimension, i.e. by establishing the Inter-American Network of Financial Managers of HEI (FinancIES-IOHE). The aim of this initiative is to exchange successful experiences, learn new concepts, promote best practices and jointly collaborate on initiatives that support the financial sustainability of HEI in the region.
