The CAMPUS Program

CAMPUS:

“Creating Common Areas of Higher Education”

CAMPUS was set up following an agreement with the OUI-IOHE  to create collaborative links and solidarity among the organization's members. In addition, it aimed to promote a consensual process of integration within the Americas via university cooperation, improved intercultural understanding and through observance of the Proclamation of the UNESCO  World Conference on Higher Education - the latter of which invites universities from around the world to collaborate and form partnerships or alliances with interested parties, namely the individuals responsible for establishing national and institutional policies. Other key players  include teachers, researchers, students, administrative staff, technical institutes of higher education, community groups and the general workforce.

CAMPUS employs a system that involves the participation of IOHE member universities or its partner institutions to implement specific courses of action. These are summarized below:

CAMPUS’ Strategic Plans (Courses of Action)

1. Quality, Teaching and Research

2. Open Educational Resources (OERs)

3. University Prospective Vision

4. Student Mobility Program

5. Spirit and Values in the 21st Century University

CAMPUS will also seek to establish powerful synergies with the other IOHE programs, i.e. IGLU and COLAM.
